ONLY 12 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

I can't believe it is only twelve days until Christmas! And even though everyone is cutting back a little, there is still lots to do. For the last few days of shopping, check out our stocking stuffers and gifts for those at the office or place of work. We still have a good selection of gifts between $5-10. We have special cards for those special people on your list. There are only a few Gingerbread houses left along with the Singing Snowmen, but you can make your 2008 Christmas memorable with the Tappers, Singing Sweet Treat Jar, and the light-up snow globe. So we hope to see you soon, and we will help you complete your holiday shopping!

Holiday Open House

Today is the last day of our Open House so come on in for some shopping and fun! Dottie and Katelyn are on duty today after a marathon event yesterday. Katelyn worked all eleven hours of it, and Dottie worked nine. But they are rearing to go today. So see you there!

The Little Lamb Has Arrived!

Todd and Amanda are brand new parents ! Little Grace Addison arrived last night (November 8) at AMC to the tune of eight pounds, fifteen ounces and measured 22 inches long! WOW!!! No wonder Amanda was worn out! We wish them the very best. We already miss Amanda and the knowledge she has at Wright's Hallmark, but she has waited to be a mother for some time now. May God bless this new family!

Goodbye, Sara and Kelly!

Two of our college students went back to school this week. Kelly is a senior at Johnson Bible College near Knoxville, Tennessee, and Sara is an entering freshman at Va Tech. We are really going to miss them this fall, but both ladies promise that they will return to help out during vacation periods whenever they can. We wish both of them good luck in their academic careers!
Meanwhile say hello to Emberley and Debbie starting next week. Emberley is a junior at Stuarts Draft High School, and Debbie is returning to retail after an absence of three years. You may have seen her at the Liz Claiborne outlet shop a while ago. We welcome both ladies to the world of Hallmark!

Halloween-Halloween

When I was little, I remember singing a song called Halloween. It went like this:
Halloween, Halloween,
Oh, what funny things are seen.
Witches hats, cold black cats,
Broomstick riders, mice and rats!
Well, we left out the mice and rats, but Halloween is coming on strong at Wright's Hallmark. Our Halloween cards are out. Check out the new cards that contain candy treats! We have some wonderful decorative items to be seen. Come in and see our screen cats! They are a real hoot. We have a selection that can hang on a door or wall and some that stand. I'm trying to decide which one I want this year. Yankee candles in Apple Cider and Purrchouly also make a statement in the fall line-up. Get yours soon. Spider rings and earrings from Dept. 56 and Two's Company will help you feel wickedly fashionable. The rings are especially fun! So come on in and take a tour of our store.

It's beginning to look a little like fall at the Wright's Hallmark. Harvest, Candied Apple, and MacIntosh Yankee candles bring that crisp-air feeling into the store. Many are in pumpkin-shaped glass containers to add that special decorative touch. As the summer sales wind down, more fall and Halloween merchandise will find its way onto the shelves!

We have ordered the following Webkinz which should arrive sometime during September: Eagle, Floppy Pig, Chipmunk, Bullnosed Dolphin, and Sheep. Cats and Bats for Halloween hopefully will arrive then, too.

Ten Bears Purses

We received a new supply of Ten Bears purses in fall colors last Friday. Many new styles and four new colors are available at reasonable prices. One of the best things about this company is the fast turnaround once an order is made. If you see something you like, we can get the style and color you need very quickly!

Prayers Requested for Our Friend Fred

We have a friend that could use a lot of prayers this Thursday as he is going into surgery to remove a tumor and some lymph nodes. Please pray for our friend Fred and his family. It would mean a lot for him to know that so many people out there are pulling for a successful surgery and recovery.
Thanks!

Around the Town Center

McAlister's Deli is scheduled to open on July 14!. We are so excited to finally have an eatery on site. The menu looks great, and we all look forward to having a meal at McAlister's!
The new high rise next to us (well, almost next to us) is going to be Books-A -Million. This, too, will be a wonderful asset to the Town Center. There are two smaller retail spaces between them and us. As of this writing, we do not know what will go in those smaller spaces.
Ross is now hiring and plan to open its doors for business on July 17.
WOW! We really are growing! Stay tuned for more info from the Center!

A Happy Birthday

We want to wish Amanda a very happy birthday on Sunday. So, Amanda---

What's New?

We had a new product line arriving this week called The Naked Bee. The line includes lip balms and had lotions in four scents that uses organic and all natural ingredients to ensure that the customer gets the finest products available on the market. Just look for these items at the front counter.

Look for our new line of handbags and coin purses by Ten Bears. This has been a most popular line since arriving at the store. We brought a small number of quilted handbags and backpacks in and have sold about 70% at this writing. So a reorder is in the works soon!

Also check the front counter out for some new bracelets!

Amanda has added some new jewelry to the Annaleece showcase so be sure to take a look at our offerings there!

Some new Snowbabies arrived this week. Already a few customers have spotted them. One new one features a Snowbaby sitting under a hair dryer-a great gift for that special hairdresser of yours!
